SNEAP 2000
The ESTU Tandem
The Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory (WNSL) in the Yale Physics Department is proud to host the 33rd meeting of the Symposium of Northeastern Accelerator Personnel (SNEAP) at the OMNI New Haven Hotel at Yale from October 9-12, 2000. A reception will be held at the hotel on Sunday evening, October 8th.
The objective of SNEAP is to assemble a wide spectrum of individuals to discuss the construction, operation and application of electrostatic accelerators and boosters. Among the topics typically explored are accelerator performances and developments, ion sources, charging systems, beam optics, vacuum technology, control systems and equipment suppliers. SNEAP 2000 will include presentations of submitted papers, informal discussions and laboratory reports. Submitted papers, suggested topics and speakers are welcome.
Outside of the proceedings, tentative plans include a tour of WNSL and the interior of the ESTU tandem on Monday evening, a foliage excursion to Litchfield county on Tuesday afternoon, and a banquet at the Quinnipiack Club on Wednesday evening. The traditional companion program will happily be continued with options to visit area museums and historic sites.
